Montesano Chief Financial Officer and City Clerk Doug Streeter is leaving his position with the city to go to work in Lewis County.

Streeter will be the next controller at the Lewis County PUD, the agency’s human relations manager said Friday.

“Doug helped build the foundation of everything we did in the last three-and-a-half years,” Mayor Vini Samuel said. “He worked with everyone — city staff, council members, department heads, lawmakers and local businesses — to make real progress for the people of Montesano.”

Samuel singled out Streeter’s role in helping the city balance its budget after deficits.

Streeter’s last day with the city will be July 12.

“While he will be missed, we look toward the search for our new team member for the city,” Mayor Samuel said.
