Three additional deaths have been attributed to complications of COVID-19 in Pacific County, public health reported late Monday.
That brings the total number of deaths to seven.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of these individuals during this time of loss,” said Pacific County’s Deputy Health Officer, Dr. Steven Krager. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
Since Dec. 30, 20 additional Pacific County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total for the pandemic to 596. According to public health, of those 596 cases, 416 cases are considered confirmed — tested positive on a PCR test — and 180 are probable, testing positive on a rapid antigen test.
The county’s case rate per 100,000 population over two weeks continues to improve. The update Monday had that number at 180.2. According to public health, active cases are spread throughout all parts of the county.
