A tip from the national Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has led to the arrest of a 60-year-old Aberdeen man for four counts of first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Aberdeen Police Det. Sgt. Steve Timmons said the arrest Tuesday was the result of a months-long investigation. A tip from the task force led police to serve a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment in the 1700 block of South Boone Street on June 3, “where several electronic devices were seized.”
Subsequent forensic searches of those devices “revealed content leading to the charges,” said Timmons. The suspect was arrested without incident and transported to the Grays Harbor County Jail.
