A two-car wreck on State Route 12 in Malone sent a 12-year-old Cosmopolis resident to the hospital for precautionary reasons on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 35-year-old Pacific Beach man was on Gore Avenue at the highway, while a second vehicle, driven by a 41-year-old Cosmopolis man, was westbound on State Route 12 at the same intersection.
Shortly before 4 p.m., the State Patrol said the Cosmopolis driver failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the other vehicle in the rear passenger side, causing it to spin and roll.
The Pacific Beach driver was injured and refused aid, according to the State Patrol. The injured juvenile was one of four passengers in the vehicle driven by the Cosmopolis man.
The State Patrol said the Pacific Beach man was cited for driving with a suspended license.
