Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Grays Harbor County this week, one Wednesday, and another Thursday, bringing the county’s total to 19 reported since March.
Keeping with Grays Harbor Public Health’s policy throughout the pandemic, no additional information about those who test positive was released.
Meantime, local health officials said an inmate was transferred to Stafford Creek Corrections Center after having previously tested positive for COVID-19 and been treated for it. The announcement said the inmate was transferred from another facility to Stafford Creek Thursday for treatment of an underlying health condition. The inmate’s positive COVID test does not count among Grays Harbor’s 19 cases.
Stafford Creek “is taking seriously the health and safety of all individuals in the facility and utilizing all precautions available to them,” health officials said.
