Two new cases of COVID-19 — one linked to contact with a previously reported case, another linked to out of county travel — were reported in Pacific County Monday. The case linked to a previous case is a male between 10-20 years old, according to Pacific County Public Health. The case linked to out of county travel is a male between 50-60 years old. Both are isolating at home and case investigations and contact tracing were ongoing Monday.
The two new cases bring the county’s total to 107. According to Public Health, there were 20 active cases being monitored Monday. Confirmed cases are at 17 and three are probable.
Pacific County Health strongly encourages the public to limit non-essential travel, maintain social distancing of at least six feet between persons, and practice personal protective measures — correctly wearing a mask/face covering in public, washing hands often with soapy water for at least 20 seconds, and avoiding touching your face.
