A travel trailer caught fire in East Raymond Thursday morning, which destroyed the vehicle but did not result in any injuries.
The Raymond Fire Department responded at 1:22 a.m., and initially reported that a victim was inside the trailer. The first unit to arrive reported that the fifth wheel trailer had been fully engulfed by flames, which extended into the trees.
A K-9 unit on the scene at the same time confirmed that the trailer’s occupant was outside and sitting in her car. Fire Chief Gary Schwiesow reported that the owner was inside her trailer when she woke some noise and found flames coming out around the refrigerator and stove. She then was able to escape the vehicle without any injuries. The trailer was a complete loss.
