Alfreda Arlee “Dutchie” LaBonte, age 71, a resident of Amanda Park, died on June 16, 2024, at her home in Amanda Park. She was born on October 5, 1952, in Aberdeen, Washington to David and Thelma (Capoeman) James. She was raised at Lake Quinault.
Dutchie had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed spending time at the casinos, her pets, especially her dogs Rosco and Chico and growing flowers.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Larissa Williams of Pacific Beach and Trena Mowitch of Hoquiam; a son, Burl Shaw of Port Angeles; seven grandchildren: Nicholas Pittack, Hunter Preston, Meadow Mowitch, Thunder Mowitch, Sasha Shaw, Madison Shaw, and Joslyn Shaw; great-grandson, Axel; three sisters, Alice Deroche, Celestine Hicks and Veronica James; and a brother, Delmer Colgrove.
Three sisters: Iris Vitalis, Toni Purdy and Leah Crossgun and three brothers: Cheseldine Colgrove, David James and Justine James preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held at the Coleman Mortuary on Saturday, June 22, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Her wishes were to be placed at the Lake Quinault Cemetery.
