Ann M. Anderson passed away on Feb. 11, 2023, at Providence Mother Joseph Care. Ann was born on June 24, 1933, to Neal Wagoner and Mildred Biggs in Joplin, Missouri. She was raised in Oysterville, Washington. Ann graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1951 and graduated from GH Business School in 1952.
Before moving to this area, Ann married her husband who now precedes her, Robert Anderson, on May 8, 1953, in Long Beach, Washington. She worked for Associated Seafoods, the family business. Ann was a longtime member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Westport, Washington. Ann loved cooking and baking for her family. She had a great love for gardening, poetry, crossword puzzles, animals of every kind, and her Mariners baseball.
Ann is survived by her sons Timothy (Irma) Anderson of Bandon, Oregon, and Robert Anderson of Grayland, Washington; daughter Kristin (Jack) Anderson Stein of Westport, Washington; sister Jennifer (Michael) Stowell of Tucson, Arizona; nephews Jeff (Sue) Walen and Erick (Elise) Walen; nieces Sarah McGregor and Gail Walen; granddaughter Sandra Manriquez of Tim and Irma; grandsons Jack Stein IV and Nicholas Stein of Kristin and Jack; and great-grandchildren Alma and Xavier Manriquez.
She is preceded in death by her father Neal Wagoner; mother Mildred Biggs Sherwood and step-father Edwin Sherwood; husband Robert Anderson; sister Betty Walen;and nephew Jerome Walen.
She was the most wonderful Mom and a joy to be around. We will all miss her terribly but are happy she is reunited with our Dad.
