Anne Amelia “Annie” Becker passed away on Oct. 17, 2022, at her home in Wenatchee, Washington. Annie was born on June 4, 1983, to Fred and Anne Becker at home in Montesano, Washington.
Annie was an outstanding multi-sport athlete. She lettered in soccer, basketball and softball at Montesano High School. She was a member of the state champion 1998 MHS softball team that was later inducted into the MHS Sports Hall of Fame. She graduated MHS in 2001.
Annie continued her love of sports and played varsity fastpitch softball at Seattle University and Central Washington University.
She graduated from CWU in 2006 with a degree in Nutrition in Dietetics. She was a registered dietician and worked at several care facilities in Wenatchee, eventually establishing a career at Central Washington Hospital.
Annie met Joby Clark in 2009 and their daughter, Eloise Clark, was born in 2011.
Annie played on numerous adult recreational sports teams. She played both co-ed and women’s slow pitch softball and women’s soccer. Her coed softball team attended many state and national tournaments. One season she was voted MVP in the Hispanic women’s soccer league.
Annie is survived by her daughter Eloise Clark of Wenatchee, parents Anne and Fred Becker of Montesano, sister Laura Ruppert (John) of Bellevue, brother John Becker (Heidi) of Olympia, ex-partner Joby Clark of Waterville, niece Adelia Ruppert, nephews Lawrence Ruppert and Emery Becker, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Montesano.
