Ardith Darlene Savoy
On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Ardith Darlene Savoy passed away peacefully at age 85 after a brief illness. Ardith was born to Hubert and Evelyn Arndt on June 3, 1937 in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Ardith attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated in 1984. A lifelong nurse and nursing educator, she worked for many nursing facilities over her time, in both Wisconsin and Washington. Ardith taught at Sacred Heart School of Practical Nursing, St. Luke’s School of Nursing, was an instructor and Director at Grays Harbor College, and worked at Aberdeen Community Hospital as an RN supervisor. She was a board member and eventual President of the Harbor Home Health and Hospice for over 25 years. Ardith attended Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.
Ardith is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Evelyn Arndt; sons Thomas and Richard Savoy; daughter Alice Marshall; and brother Kenneth. She is survived by her son William Savoy of Hoquiam, Washington; daughter Margaret Savoy of Redwood City, California; and two grandchildren Samantha Marshall of McDaniel, Maryland, and Sonya Savoy of Hoquiam, Washington.
