Audrey Isobel Seymour (Harris) died peacefully April 28, 2020, at the age of 99 years and 11 months. Born May 31, 1920, in Bristol, England, Audrey traveled the globe with her love of adventure. An immigrant and citizen of England, Canada and the USA, Audrey exemplified the spirit of all immigrants coming to America; always hard working, energetic, and with a can-do attitude. Audrey first went to work at 14 years old, at a Bristol cigar factory. During WWII, she joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAF), where she was a switchboard operator. After the war, Audrey immigrated to Toronto, Canada, and then Vancouver B.C… Married to Samuel M. Seymour, the family then immigrated to Seattle, when Sam got a job as a navigator with NW Airlines. The Seymour family were lucky enough to travel the world, visiting friends and family. For many years they lived in the Orient – Japan, Okinawa, and Laos, before coming back to Washington State. Sam and Audrey moved to Pacific County, living in Grayland and Tokeland. Sam died in June 1999 and in 2000, Audrey moved to Montesano. Audrey was past president of the Friends of the Library and the Gung Ho Gardening Club, and an active member of many other local clubs.
Audrey is survived by her children, Penelope Juttner, Kathryn Seymour, Victoria Pierce, Jon Seymour, and her step-daughter, Deborah Seymour. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Audrey was lovingly taken care of in the last year of her life by her grandchildren, Jessica and Greg Juttner.
