Bernice (Bea) Hayvaz passed away in Lewiston, Idaho on Dec. 5, 2016, at age 90. Bea was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Kansas to Carl and Maude Boone. She was the last surviving of six siblings.

After graduation from high school in Amorita, Okla., her family moved to Weiser, Idaho. There she met and later married John Hayvaz of Aberdeen, Wash. They made their home in the Wishkah Valley and Aberdeen while raising their four children.

Bea enjoyed sewing, China painting, doll making and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by her son Matthew (Sally) Hayvaz of Lewiston, Idaho; daughters Karen Jonassen of Montesano and Bette Lou (Jack) Sizemore of Colorado; grandchildren Jennifer Behrens, Luke Hayvaz, Amanda Loseth, Suzanne Jonassen Black, Sarah Sizemore and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Michael and husband John.

At her request, there will be no funeral. Rest in Peace “Grandma Bea.”
