Betty L. Targus passed away Dec. 4, 2016 in Olympia, Wash. She was born May 10, 1923 to Robert and Jackie Edwards in Hoquiam, Wash. Betty was a secretary/office manager in the timber industry with Anderson & Middleton. A long-time Hoquiam and Ocean Shores resident, she was active in the Ocean Shores Elks Club, Aberdeen Polish Club, Bingo, and the Ocean Shores Community Club where she was once honored as “Woman of the Year.”

Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Marla K. Parnell; and husbands, Mac S. McManus and Stan Targus. Her sister, Juneamae Lindberg, passed away four days after she did on Dec. 9. Betty is survived by her son, Robert McManus; stepsons, Stan and Tom; stepdaughters, Joyce and Nancy; plus numerous grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Polish Club. Please share memories at www.FuneralAlternatives.org.
