Beverly King Lufkin, born Sept. 7, 1943, in Drexel Hill, Pa. to William and Edith King, died July 10, 2017, at her home in Aberdeen, Wash.

Beverly King Lufkin, born Sept. 7, 1943, in Drexel Hill, Penn., to William and Edith King, died July 3, 2017, at her home in Aberdeen, Wash.

Beverly graduated from Westmoreland High School, Kingston Township, Penn., and received a B.S. in art education from Kutztown University, a Pennsylvania State School. She also attended the University of Vermont and Haystack Mountain School of Arts, Deer Isle, Maine.

She taught art in the Plattsburg New York school system. Beverly was a Signature Life Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, Seattle, Washington. She was the recipient of numerous awards for her art over 40 years for her watercolors done on location in the Pacific Northwest.

Beverly married Ronald Lufkin, Dec. 20, 1974, in Eugene, Ore., and has lived on the coast of Washington since.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronald, of Aberdeen, Wash.; a sister Della (Thomas) Keller of Saunderstown, R.I.; a brother, Robert (Hiedi) King of Cheyenne, Wyo.; step-children: Donna Van Zuylen of Seattle, Frank Lufkin of Vancouver, BC; three nieces: Connie Calu and Sandy Krise of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Kim Keller of Southington, Conn.

The family suggests the donations be made to your favorite charity.

A celebration of life will be held at the Aberdeen Rotary Log Pavilion on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming, Pa.
