Billy John Foster was born in Grays Harbor County Aug. 11, 1945 to Tom and Eva Foster. He died April 9, 2022, at the age of 76, after nearly five years of battling cancer. He passed at his home in Tumwater with family members by his bedside. He and his wife, Donna, observed their 57th wedding anniversary April 3.
In his earlier days Bill enjoyed drag racing. He also loved fishing, camping and road trips, especially with his brother Tom. He enjoyed fixing many different things for family and friends, although his favorite pastime was to work on his son’s ‘52 Chevy. He will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather.
In 2009, Bill retired after working many years for Quigg Brothers as a superintendent having started out as a truck driver for the company.
Bill Foster was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna, their children Dawn Kero (Greg) and David Foster (Jenni Eden) and four grandchildren: Kennedy, Carson and Kolby Kero and Cody Foster; and his brother Tom Foster (Shirley) and Dianna Olson.
At Bill’s request, there will be no funeral.
