Bruce R. “Beep” Phillips, 65, of Hoquiam, Washington passed away on March 27, 2025.

Beep was born on April 20, 1959, in Ballard, Washington to Harold Phillips and Katherine Kish Phillips Diehm. He was a lifelong resident of Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1977.

After spending 5 years in the service, Beep came back to Hoquiam and started his driving career. Byron Brothers Trucking gave Beep his first log truck driving job. He then drove for Carlin Diehm Trucking for 19 years and finally RL Smith Logging until his death.

Beep loved to travel with his many friends, go out fishing in his boat and ride his motorcycle. Every day he did not work, he met his friends for breakfast.

Beep was preceded in death by his stepfather Carlin Diehm Sr. and his brother Glen A. Phillips. He is survived by his mother Katherine (Kay) Diehm, sister Susan Branch and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 17, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hoquiam Elks Lodge #1082, 624 K Street, Hoquiam 98550. As Beep was a very informal person, please come as you are.
