Bruno Eugene Pieraccini, 88, lifetime Aberdeen resident and retired Longshoreman, died Friday, April 21, 2023, in Aberdeen, Washington.
Bruno was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Aberdeen to Gino and Pamela (Lenciani) Pieraccini. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1952. He enlisted in the Navy in November 1952 and then transferred to the US Army in 1954. He was honorably discharged in 1956 and returned to Aberdeen.
He married Connie Russell in 1959. They later divorced.
He worked for the ILWU Local 24 longshoring in the Pacific Northwest. He was an artist and loved watching sports.
Bruno is survived by a son, Bruno R Pieraccini (Debi) of Aberdeen; two grandchildren: Gena Pieraccini- Bixler of Aberdeen and Beau Leyvand of California; four great-grandchildren: Natalia Pieraccini; and Ellie, Ari and Dani Leyvand. Bruno was preceded in death by his son Donald “Rocky” Pieraccini in 2010; one brother: Chuck Questi, five sisters: Gina Pieraccini, Ella Cadillac, Flora DeNota, Eva Weiblen and Nonda Carson.
There was a private graveside service for Bruno at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen with Military Honors. A celebration of life will be held at the 40 et 8 Club in Aberdeen on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2 p.m.
