Carlyn M. (Parker) Osina, 65 of Elma, passed away April 24, 2023, at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle of bone cancer. Her 3-year battle finally took her. She had a strong, strong will to live to be with family.

She was born in Aberdeen, Washington to Lyle and Betty-Ruth Parker on Dec. 22, 1957.

Carlyn was a Aberdeen High School graduate of the class of 1976. Carlyn had brief working career with Albertson’s and Stewarts Shoprite in Aberdeen in the early ’80s, got married and no longer had to work.

Before settling down having a family Carly spent three months in New York with then sister-in-law Cathy and her family to see what the other side of the country was like.

Carlyn enjoyed going on short road trips with husband Stan, walks in the neighborhood friends and grandkids Brinkley and Spencer. She also enjoyed working in the yard and caring for her beautiful flowers, going to the ocean with family to dig razor clams.

Growing up the Parker family took a long road trip to Yellowstone and Crater Lake.

Carlyn married Stan Osina in Reno, Nevada in 1978. They had two kids, son Stan Jr. and daughter Somer (Paul) Christianson.

Carlyn is survived by husband Stan at the family home, Stan Jr. of Carnation, daughter Somer and family of the Satsop Valley, brother Gary (Patty) Parker of Central Park. She was preceded in death by brother Dennis (Cathy),and parents Lyle and Betty-Ruth Parker.

The family would like to give special thanks to nurses and doctors for their wonderful care at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
