Carol Fern Pickett passed away with peace of mind on Sept. 10, 2016, at Prestige Care Center, Centralia, Wash.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1941, to Fern (Carlyle) Northup, Monroe and John Reed Northup in Aberdeen, Wash., along with her twin brother William Reed Northup.
She attended school at Lake Quinault. Most of her childhood was spent at Clearwater, Wash. and Neilton, Wash. As an adult she lived around the Grays Harbor area, Bellingham, Wash., Grandview, Wash. and California and Oregon.
She worked at various nursing homes as a CNA, she also did waitressing and bartending. She was involved with hunters education for several years.
Carol enjoyed being a clown in parades including Hoquiam Logger’s Playday from which she received several trophies. She also enjoyed camping and fishing and sister weekend which her nieces sometimes attended.
She married Carl (Buzz) Grube and later divorced, Aldon Kleeman, later divorced and Jim Pickett (deceased).
She was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Fern, sons Edward Kleeman and Brian Grube, step-son Jimmy Pickett and a great-grandson.
She is survived by daughters Lorie Grube of Shelton, Wash., Tonia Kleeman of Bellingham, Wash and Traci Kleeman of Ferndale, Wash.; sons Nathan Kleeman and John Kleeman of Bellingham; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Brenda Nelson of Puyallup, Wash., Rita Evans of Hoquiam, Wash. and Lois McFarland of Grandview, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews; special aunt Elizabeth Carlyle of Neilton, Wash. and her special companion, of 13 years, Mike Tolomei of Aberdeen.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
