Carol Louise Beyer passed away quietly in her sleep on Feb. 26, 2020, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab in Aberdeen, Washington, after suffering from dementia-related illness.
Born in Everett, Washington, Carol was Carol Lueth and had four siblings: Marsha, Molly, Greg and Wendy. Carol was a natural leader. In high school, she was Honor Queen in Job’s Daughters. Carol was a giver of her time, talents, teaching ideas and materials to fellow teachers, friends, family — even strangers.
Carol married her longtime friend, Bill Beyer, in 1966, and they raised two daughters, Minda and Maggie, of Chewelah, Washington. Carol and Bill were both career elementary school teachers. Carol especially loved teaching reading. She felt she was contributing by giving her students one of the most important skills of their lives — teaching them to read and helping develop a love of reading. The Beyer family lived and taught in Everett, Bellingham, Bainbridge Island, Soap Lake, Hoquiam, North River and Cosmopolis.
Carol was creative! She loved quilting, decorating, collecting, antiquing and “piddly shopping.” Carol was a wonderful mother, a devoted wife and helpmate, and an exemplary friend. She will be missed by many.
Carol’s parents, Bill and Charlotte Lueth of Everett, Washington, preceded her in death, as well as her dearly loved sister, Molly.
Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen is handling final cremation arrangements. A memorial service at the Aberdeen First Presbyterian Church will be held at 1 p.m. April 11, 2020. Remembrances can be made in Carol’s name to your favorite charity.
