Catherine Mary Jones, 94, lifetime Aberdeen resident, died Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Cosmopolis. Catherine was born on Oct. 5, 1922, in Aberdeen to Joseph Samuel and Eva Edith (Chestman) Louiso. She attended A.J. West, Miller Jr. High and Aberdeen High School.
Catherine was a wonderful housewife and mother. Taking care of her family was her number one priority. She was artistic, creative in preparing meals for her family, methodical and a perfectionist. She was a member of the United Christian Church and was involved in 4H with her children.
On Aug. 11, 1946, she married James Theo “Tex” Jones in Aberdeen who passed away on Sept. 11, 2002.
Catherine is survived by three sons; Kenneth R. (Cheri) Jones of Minnesota, James J. (Linda) Jones of Elma and Alan D. (Tammie) Jones of Montesano; twin daughters: Beth M. (Brad) Gill of Cosmopolis and Barbara A. (Sam) Easter of Arizona; a sister Grace Collins of Leavenworth, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Louiso and two sisters: Eunice Huntsman and Dorothy Dobbins.
There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, Feb. 10, at Noon in Light and Life Community Church in Hoquiam, Wash. A private family burial service will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
