Charles R. Burnett of Hoquiam, Washington, was born on June 1, 1979, to Penny A. Burnett and Danny H. Burnett in Aberdeen, Washington. He died on Nov. 12, 2020, at his Hoquiam home.
Charlie grew up enjoying fishing and riding dirt bikes, then hunting with his brother and his friends, also riding his Harley. He also enjoyed gardening with his Aunt Vicki.
Charlie graduated from Hoquiam High School, then continued to Grays Harbor College, where he graduated as a machinist. He went on to work for Early Tire, then became a mechanic for 5 Star.
Charles always had a tender heart for animals which he learned from his Aunt Vicki also. From his 130 pound golden lab, “Buddy,” to a wild bunny which was injured and he saved, trained and became his house pet “Smokey”.
Charlie is survived by his aunt Vicki Burnett of Hoquiam, aunt Carol Borek of Montesano and aunt Sandy Barton of Satsop; his brother Jeff (Marsha) Burnett of Hoquiam; his daughter Kinzley Wiss of Elma; a nephew, Allan and a niece, Katie, who he loved corrupting along with many cousins. He was proceeded in death by both his parents and all of his grandparents.
