Christopher James Hennings, who spent most of his life in Grays Harbor County, Washington, passed away at the age of 22 years old on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Titusville, Pennsylvania.

Christopher’s authentic smile could warm any heart. He did not hand out that smile freely, so when he gave one to you, he meant it. We truly believe he is now warming the hearts of all those who crossed the veil before him. Christopher walked through this life making a difference in ways only he could,whether he offered you a witty joke or the shirt off his back. He loved to listen to music and play Apex online, but his favorite thing to do was sit down to watch a good movie. It would honor him greatly if you thought of him when watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He was very much, so looking forward to watching it.

Christopher is a dearly beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Rae Sherk, as well as, his first mother, Teresa Hennings. He is also survived by his siblings, Bryndin Sherk (Krishtian Brandner), Justin Sherk, Matthew Salter, Victor Sherk, Mason Salter, Caylynne Pellegrini, Kierin Sherk, James Sturgill, Taylor’lynn Sturgill and Amelia Sherk. He is also survived by his nephew and niece, Nathaniel and Isabelle Sherk. Christopher has numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, too many to list but all who loved him. His dogs, Kenai and Koda will also miss him and his hugs dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Christopher’s family is asking for donations to be sent to Adoptees Connect to help other adult adoptees who are struggling with suicidal ideation get the resources they need to wake up one more day.
