Daniel Allen “Boone” Wynn, 63 years of age and a longtime Axford Prairie, Wash., resident, died on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at his home following an extended illness. He was born on Oct. 24, 1952, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Kenneth Bruce: “Buck” and Donna Mae (Moffitt) Wynn.
He was raised and attended school in Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1971.
He had been a logger for Weyerhaeuser until a couple of logging accidents forced him to quit working when he was about 25 years of age.
Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He most recently was a cancer survivor.
Daniel Allen Wynn is survived by his daughter, Tianna Marie Wynn (Jon Johnson) of the family home; two sisters, Kay Niemi of McCleary and Karla Ferguson (Bob) of Winters, Calif.; his grandchildren, Katelyn Wynn, Jaelyn Johnson, Lynnsley Villalobos and Skyler Barr; his ex-wife, Loretta A. Welch of the Wishkah; other relatives and numerous life long friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Wynn who died on Dec. 1, 2006, in Seattle.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at the family home.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Wash.
