Loving husband, daddy and grandpa, Daniel “Dan” Harold Alderman passed away at home in Aberdeen, Washington on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. Dan was born to Charlie and Coleen (Reed) Alderman, Dec. 15, 1945, in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He was raised in Goshen and Veneta, Oregon.

Dan graduated high school in 1964, and graduated from Oregon Tech Institute in 1966.

Three years later, on Sept. 27, 1969, Dan married Patricia Lynn Nichols in San Jose. They were married 52 years. He and Patricia “Lynn” moved to Grays Harbor in December of 2002. Before this, they lived in Dunsmuir, California

Dan served in the United States Navy for four years, three of which were overseas. He was an Engineman Second Class and was honorably discharged in 1971.

Dan enjoyed helping others, working on cars and around the house, playing cards with his family and eating M&Ms.

Dan is survived by his wife, Patrica “Lynn” of Aberdeen, son Jassen Alderman of Centralia, Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle “Shelly” and Raymon “Ray” Robinette of Hoquiam, Washington; sisters, Charlene Winter and Ruth Graham of Oregon, Sherry Merenkov and Linda Hopkins of Colorado; brother, Bill Swank of Arizona; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kayla and Alexander Young of Post Falls, Idaho and grandchildren, Mykie and Tyven Robinette of Hoquiam.
