Danny Ray Graves passed away on Sept. 22, 2022, at the age of 69. He was born in Shelton, Washington on April 9, 1953, to Percel and Clara Bell Graves. He was raised in McCleary, Washington, and graduated from Elma High School, class of 1971. He also attended Olympia Technical Community College, graduating on June 15, 1984 with an Associate in Technical Arts.
On Feb. 2, 1974, Danny married Christine Peters in McCleary, Washington. They were married for 48 years. They had three children together.
Danny worked for the Department of Retirement from June 1, 1984, to June 2, 2011. He was also the Pastor of the Apostolic Wells of Living Water Church from 1995 to 2018 when he retired. He continued to be a Bishop until the time of his passing, at the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ. Danny had a love of hunting and fishing but mostly loved fishing for souls. He loved his family dearly and everyone felt his love and compassion.
Danny is survived by his wife Christine at their family home in McCleary; sons Daniel, Caleb and Aaron Graves all of Elma, Washington; daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Heather Graves of Elma; brothers Dave, Ted and Harley Graves; sister Cheryl Rothell; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022 at the McCleary Cemetery starting at 11 a.m. A memorial service and reception will follow at the Apostolic Wells of Living Water Church at 1 p.m.
