Darrell John Stephens, 80, a nearly life-long resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born in Sedro Wooley, Wash., Jan. 23, 1937, the son of John and Caroline (Ellenberger) Stephens.
The family came to the Harbor and Darrell was a graduate of Weatherwax High School in 1955. He was a partner in two trucking companies on the Harbor for 35 years until he retired in 2010.
When he was younger he enjoyed woodcarving and through the years liked to restore antique cars.
Darrell is survived by his wife Barbara, Aberdeen; a daughter: Diane and husband Bryan Miller, Aberdeen; two sisters: Lois Carrol, Aberdeen and Darlene Red, La Grande, Ore.; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Following his request there will be no formal memorial services.
