David “Dave” Harris, 57, a resident of McCleary and previously of Hoquiam died after a long illness on Dec. 4, 2017, at his home. He was born to Frank and Betty “Van Leeuwen” Harris in Shelton, Wash. on May 13, 1960. He was a graduate of Hoquiam High School.
He enjoyed working at Daniel’s Shingles and Shake Mill until his failing eye sight forced early retirement. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, digging clams, and the many trips to Spirit Mountain Casino. He loved family get-togethers.
Survivors include three sisters Patricia Koerner of Hoquaim, Joan (Dave) Jester of Aberdeen and Judy (Dan) Harris of Westport, a brother Randy (Teresa) Harris of Port Angeles, aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Dave is preceded in death by parents Frank and Betty (Van Leeuwen) Harris, all grandparents, brother Allan, sister Debra, brother-in-law Dave and nephew Justin.
