David Shattuck, 73, died Feb. 18, 2017, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. He was born March 7, 1943, to Nelson and Evelyn Shattuck. Dave graduated from Olympia High School in 1961.

From 1967 to his retirement in January, 2004, he was a longshoreman and a member of ILWU-­PMA Local No. 47.

Dave is survived by his wife Roxanne of Olympia; daughters Kari Bakotich (Earl), Merritt Island, Fla., Tammy Womack, Aberdeen; son Beau Shattuck of Tumwater; sisters Cinda Radcliff (Rick) and Christie Schmidt (Fred) both of Olympia. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Dale and Dennis.

Per Dave’s wishes, there will be no service.

Donations in Dave’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
