Jerry Shapansky

A celebration of life for longtime Cosmopolis resident Jerry Shapansky, who died Jan. 17 at the age of 80, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club.

Donations in his name can be made to the Cosmopolis Lions Club for the Scholarship and Vision programs: P.O. Box 48, Cosmopolis, WA 98537. Arrangements were by Harrison Family Mortuary.

Joan Poulos

Joan Poulos, a 90-year-old resident of Hoquiam, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cosmopolis. Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.

Robert J. Matthews

Robert Joseph Matthews, a longtime resident of Hoquiam, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at his home in Hoquiam. He was 71.

He had worked for the Weyerhaeuser Company.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced later. Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
