Joseph H. Cornell Jr.

Joseph H. Cornell Jr., a longtime resident of Central Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at home. He was 83.

He had been a mill worker and had spent decades collecting backpacks, jackets and school supplies for nonprofit organizations in the county.

Arrangements are pending at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

John G. Zollars Jr.

Former Elma resident John Gerald Zollars Jr. of Centralia died Feb. 20, 2024, in Centralia. He was 72.

He had worked for Thurston County Central Services, 2nd Car Co. and Olympia Forest Products.

Services will be announced at a later time. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Funeral Alternatives in Tumwater.

Cynthia ‘Cynde’ Roberts

A celebration of life for Aberdeen resident Cynthia “Cynde” L. Roberts, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
