Robert D. Smith Sr.

Grays Harbor resident Robert “Bob” D. Smith Sr. died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at home. He was 92.

He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He worked sawing shingles in several mills and later as a longshoreman.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam, followed by a graveside service with military honors at 2 p.m. at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.

Daniel Hartt

Grays Harbor resident Daniel W. Hartt died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Pacific Care Rehabilitation Center in Hoquiam. He was 78.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked at several local mills and later was co-owner and production manager of Universal Refiner.

A celebration of his life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Aberdeen Elks. Lunch will be served.

Annie K. McGarrah

Annie Katherine McGarrah, 96, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at home.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. April 4, at Wynoochee Cemetery with a lunch reception to follow at the Montesano Church of God. Burial arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.
