Barbara E. Clapshaw

RAYMOND — Barbara Ellen Clapshaw of Raymond died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at her home. She was 87.

She had been a member of the Raymond Eagles, American Legion and the Raymond VFW.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Raymond Eagles.

Cremation arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.

Hendrik J. De Hann

Aberdeen resident Hendrik Jan De Hann died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at home. He was 92.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

George L. Dukes Jr.

George Lewis Dukes Jr. of Ocean Shores died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam. He was 81.

The bulk of his career in chemical engineering was spent in Alaska where he retired as Technical Director of the Alaska Division of Louisiana Pacific Corp.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grays Harbor College for scholarships in engineering and science.

A private ceremony for the family will be held at a later date.

Direction is by Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Sharlyne R. Blackwell

Sharlyne Rae Blackwell, a longtime Harborite, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 78.

She had worked as a cook and waitress at the Hub, Gamburs and the Red Rooster, had owned and operated the Silver Dollar Tavern and later did in-home care for the elderly to include taking care of her mother.

There will be no formal funeral service.

Arrangements are by Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Viola P. Lower

MONTESANO — Viola Pearl Lower of Montesano died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 86.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Montesano.

Donald F. Huss

MONTESANO — Donald Fred Huss of Montesano died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation. He was 82.

Arrangements are by McComb & Wagner Funeral Home in Shelton.
