Herb W. Welch

Herb Wayne Welch, a resident of the Wishkah Valley, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at his home. He was 79.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Toledo during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a logger, truck driver and diesel mechanic, later becoming an insurance agent and preparing taxes. He was a Grays Harbor County Commissioner from 2011 to 2015.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Providence Regional Cancer System.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harbor City Church in Aberdeen.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Robert A. Gibbons

Robert Allen Gibbons died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at his Hoquiam home. He was 79.

Services are being planned and will be announced when details become available.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Audrey Baird

Audrey L. Baird of Montesano died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 74.

She had previously lived in Three Forks, Mont.

Arrangements were by Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
