Ocean Shores resident Barry Richard Schmidt died Feb. 27, 2023, at home. He was 72.

He built and operated Otterspace Heated Storage.

An urn committal with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

John Conrad Schuster

John Conrad Schuster died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Aberdeen. He was 75

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 14, and a funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m., Sunday, May 15, both at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Federal Way.

Donations may be given to Kennedy Catholic for tuition assistance.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Charles LeaVon ‘Chuck’ Howard

Charles LeaVon “Chuck” Howard, a resident of Hoquiam, died on April 27, 2023, at Tacoma General Hospital. He was 61.

He worked all over the nation for various carnivals and food trucks.

There will be a celebration of life gathering from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Events Center on Emerson in Hoquiam.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
