Diane Forest Miller of Gig Harbor, Wash., died peacefully Feb. 9, 2017. She was born May 15, 1931. She was the eldest daughter of Tony and Zada Forest. Diane was a graduate of Weatherwax High School, Class of 1949.
She was a person with Parkinson’s, yet she refused to let this debilitating disease define her. Diane loved to swim – she was a life guard, and at 84 years she continued water aerobics. She had a subtle sense of humor.
After retiring from the NW Pacific Bell Telephone Co., Diane spent as much time as possible at her property at Forest Springs, Hood Canal. She felt a deep emotional attachment there where she always enthusiastically shared a memorable experience with friends and family.
Diane is survived by a loving family: Gale, Robert, Vance, Julie (Doug) and Kristina; another daughter, Janet, died in 1984; a sister, Joan, a nephew and a niece, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
The family plans a private memorial service.
