Donald L. Estes, 89, Gig Harbor, Wash., resident since 1967, died Oct. 2, 2016. Originally from Cosmopolis, Wash., Don owned Peninsula Auto Parts in Gig Harbor for 20 years.

Don was a member of Cosmopolis Lions, president Gig Harbor Kiwanis and longtime supporter of Peninsula and Gig Harbor athletics.

Family members include his wife of 59 years Leyla, daughters Louise (Olsen) and Dawn Michele (Ford), sons Jeff, Chris, Dave, 16 grandkids, 20 great-grandkids and four great-great-grandkids.

He is survived by his sister Carolyn Castile. Predeceased by parents Don and Myrtle Estes Sr., sister Bertha Morrow and son Mike Estes Sr.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill church in Gig Harbor. Remembrances may be made to Gig Harbor HS sports boosters club at http://www.ghhssportsboosters.com/.
