Donald W. Glud passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born in Bremerton, Washington on Sept. 6, 1952, to Clarence and Faith Glud. He attended Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, graduated in 1970 and went on to attend Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington where he earned a B.A. in Business.
He had a lifelong passion for landscaping, and owned and operated his own landscaping business for 54 years.
When he was young, golf was his game, but as a life-long outdoorsman, his best memories were hunting and fishing with his father and friends.
Don’s faith was the central pillar of his life, and he was always active in his church community, and Bible study, serving as a board member at Camp Bethel and Moderator at Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
His trip to the Holy Land was one of the highlights of his life, only second to the memories built with his grandchildren, who he doted on, imparting knowledge and sharing his experiences.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Faith (Christensen) Glud, and survived by his loving wife of 28 years Melva (Davis) Glud, and his sisters Carole Baker, Lindsay Winthrop and Robin O’Conner.
A graveside service will be held on July 27, 2023, at Island Lake Cemetery in Bremerton, Washington at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Don Glud.
