Dorothy passed away on May 14, 2018, after a life well lived. She was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Andrew Bruce Hay and Elizabeth Russell Crowder Hay. She was raised in Hoquiam, Wash., and graduated from Hoquiam High School, where she was a cheerleader.

Dorothy studied at Washington State University, married and started a family. Dorothy also had a successful career as a Realtor serving families for more than 40 years, retiring in 2009.

Dorothy is survived by her four children: Christy Todd, John A Bartanen, Michael F. Bartanen and Brett M. Bartanen; her brother Robert Hay Sr.; five grandchildren: Brigitte, Thomas, Amber, Heather and John D. and four great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Kameron, Blaine and Jason.
