Cosmopolis resident Douglas Duncan McDougall passed away at Harbor Regional Health Center in Aberdeen on Feb. 4, 2025, at the age of 88.

Cosmopolis resident Douglas Duncan McDougall passed away at Harbor Regional Health Center in Aberdeen on Feb. 4, 2025, at the age of 88.

He was born on April 2, 1936, in Seattle to parents Edward William McDougall and Gladys May (Douglas) McDougall. He married Lois Howard in Tukwila on Jan. 28, 1957. Douglas worked for LeMays of Grays Harbor and also did freelance wood craft sales, specializing in wooden pop-guns, rubber band guns, and windmills. He was a member of the Jeep Club of Aberdeen and the Grays Harbor Search and Rescue. Douglas loved woodworking, fishing, and working on automobiles.

He is survived by his sons, Jim McDougall and Steven McDougall, both of Cosmopolis; daughter Kathy Ashe of Porter; as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Howard) McDougall; parents Edward and Gladys (Douglas) McDougall; and daughter Sheryl Ashe.

A memorial service will be held at the Montesano Assembly of God at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary.
