Elanor “Helen” B. Wilson-Oslund, 96 years of age and a longtime Harborite, died on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Providence Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash. She was born on Sept. 14, 1920, in Williamsport, Penn., to Elwood and Martha (Thorne) Fredericy. She was raised and attended school in Pennsylvania.
She was married to James E. Wilson in 1940 in Pennsylvania. They came to the Harbor in 1958. He died on March 7, 1980.
Helen was married to Carl “Henry” Oslund in 1995 in Hoquiam. He died in 2010.
She was a longtime member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and was an active leader in Awanas.
She enjoyed bowling, ridding her three wheeler bicycle and spending time with her family and church friends.
Helen is survived by sons, James Wilson of Hoquiam, Donald Wilson in Georgia, Joseph Wilson and Daniel Wilson of Hoquiam; her daughters, Linda Harris of Ephrata, Barbara Clinton of Hoquiam and Virginia Clark of Hoquiam; 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, and Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam, Wash.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 1200 Soule Street in Hoquiam with Pastor W. Kent Gravley officiating.
Concluding service with interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam, Wash.
