Erick Lyle Rapp, age 52, an Aberdeen resident, died at his home in Aberdeen, Wash., surrounded by his family on Aug. 29, 2017.

Erick was a kind and caring father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, mushroom foraging and spending time with his family. He enjoyed all sports and participated in baseball, football and bowling.

Erick is survived by his mother and father, Patricia and Richard Rapp; a brother, Bryan Rapp (Amy); sons, Christopher Rapp (Jennifer) and Richard T. Rapp; a daughter, Clarissa Wygal (Jacob); grandchildren, Chanterelle, Kemper and Zavier Rapp of Clayton, Wash., and Athena and Christiana Wygal of Aberdeen and nephews Gabriel, Dane and Drake Rapp.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at the Humptulips Cemetery. A memorial service with a reception following will begin at 12:00 Noon at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hoquiam.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Harbor’s Home Health and Hospice or to the Hoquiam Seventh-day Adventist Church.
