Ernestine J. Thayer

Aberdeen resident Ernestine June Thayer died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Harbor Regional Heath Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 71.

She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1970.

At her request, there will be no service. Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Gerald A. ‘Toby’ Hart

Former Hoquiam resident Gerald Allan “Toby” Hart of Olympia, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at home. He was 78.

He worked as a maintenance man for the Hoquiam School district, retiring after 20 years.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced later. Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Eric B. Smith

Hoquiam resident Eric Benjamin Smith, 53, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at his home in Hoquiam.

He was an officer at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton, served as a business rep and was a correctional sergeant for Stafford Creek.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Coleman Mortuary Chapel in Hoquiam.

Grayland resident Patricia Louise Antioquia, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at home.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Patricia Ann Appling of Aberdeen died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at home. She was 79.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Beatrice A. Allshouse

Beatrice Ann Allshouse, an 84-year-old resident of Oakville, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at home.

Services are being planned for a later date.
