Fran Brongil of Lake Quinault, beloved mother of two sons, Jed and Josh, passed away on May 11, 2024, peacefully after a battle with brain cancer. She was born in Tacoma, Washington to John and Pauline where she was raised with her two brothers, Ray and John.
Fran attended Lincoln HS before studying at St. Martin’s University where she graduated with honors. Shortly after college, Fran moved to Lake Quinault where she raised her two sons. She worked in shake and lumber mills for many years. She eventually became a correctional officer at Stafford Creek Correctional Facility where she retired from in 2021.
Fran had a passion for the arts. She had a small business (Spirit Sisters) that manufactured and sold jewelry and other art locally. She loved attending flea markets and other art shows where she sold her art. Fran was also an award-winning stained-glass artist.
Fran was preceded in death by parents John and Paula and by brother Ray. Fran is survived by brother John, sons Jed and Josh and grandchildren Bailey, Carson, Angus and Sawyer.
There will be a celebration of life held at the Rainforest Resort in Lake Quinault on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 11 a.m.
