Garry Noel, 63 years of age, and a lifetime resident of Aberdeen, passed away on March 9, 2017, in Longview, Wash., following a long-term illness. He was born on March 27, 1953, to Don and Marge (Welch) Noel in Aberdeen.

He attended Aberdeen High School, graduating with the class of ‘71. He also attended Grays Harbor College and earned an AA degree in 1973. Garry married Laura (Soran) Noel in Aberdeen on April 9, 1988. They divorced in 1998.

Garry owned Koffee Kat Espresso in Aberdeen and Hoquiam from 1996 – 2011 and also Garret’s Photo in Aberdeen for 20 years. He was a member of the Hume St. Jazz Band for 20 years, Boy Scouts in his youth and belonged to the Elk’s in his 20’s.

Garry enjoyed traveling with his daughter, photography, computers and music.

He is survived by his daughter, Emma Noel.

A celebration of Garry’s life will be held on March 18, 2017, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen at 1 p.m., with Dan Vines officiating.
