Born June 2, 1966, in Lynnwood, Wash., Jeff moved to Arlington in 1975, where he was active in sports and Boys Club. In 1979, the family moved to Aberdeen, eventually settling in Hoquiam, where Jeff attended middle and high school and got his first job delivering newspapers. He made many friends on the Harbor but always considered Arlington his home.
Afflicted with Hodgkins Disease at 27, Jeff was one of the longest living cancer survivors on record. He died Aug. 17, 2018, at the age of 52. He will be remembered for his deep love of friends, dogs, the Stilly, and all things ’70s.
He is preceded in death by his dad David Pettet; stepmom Nikki Pettet; and dog Cletus. He is survived by his mom Nyla Jane Graham; step-dad Raymond Graham; sister Janay Jager; brother-in-law Craig Jager; step-brothers Erik and Todd Prickett; step-sisters Heather Culver and Cheryl Spangler; niece Jordan Cravens; and dog Clovis.
Memorial service will be at Arlington United Church, 338 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington on Sept. 22, 2018, from noon to 3 p.m. Please wear a Hawaiian shirt. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jeff’s name to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center or the Arlington Community Food Bank.
