Geri was born and raised in Michigan, and was a long time resident of Grays Harbor County. She approached life with great strength, optimism, and generosity. Geri retired after 40 years as an educator, the majority within the Aberdeen School District. She was involved in many community organizations, including the Gallery of Ocean Shores, the Healing Gallery and Lobby Art at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Grays Harbor Symphony as well as other local musical, artistic, and educational activities. She died from complications related to cancer March 26, 2017, in the presence of her husband Greg and children Becky and Kerri.
