Glenda Rae Benson, 58, Aberdeen resident and former CNA, died Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home in Aberdeen.
Glenda was born on October 28, 1965, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Melvin and Wanda (Griffith) Benson. Soon after her family moved to Aberdeen where she attended Aberdeen schools. She received her CNA Certification and worked at Grays Harbor Community Hospital from 2006 to 2010.
She enjoyed animals (especially her dogs), hiking, camping, stargazing, cloud watching and being outdoors. She was proud of her Native Heritage.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexis (Jeremy) Drais of Elma and a son, Tyson Lloyd of Illinois; parents, Melvin and Wanda Benson of Aberdeen; brothers: Terry (Barb) Benson of Tacoma, Washington and Kevin (Irina) Benson of Bothell, Washington; sisters: Danette (Allan) Berg of Stanfield, Oregon and Chris (Don) Lewin of Aberdeen; numerous nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Brandon Lloyd last month and sister Cathy Benson before that.
There will be no services.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
