Harry D. Sutton, 87, of Aberdeen, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023.

Born in Jackson County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Avery and Ester Green Sutton.

He was in the logging industry for over 45 years. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family and friends.

He was also part of the statue at the Log Pavilion that commemorates 100 years of the logging industry of Grays Harbor, donated by Anderson & Middleton Logging Co.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Carol Oliver Sutton; daughter, Annette Sutton Jones (Dennis); son, Alan Sutton (Jessica); two grandchildren: Aron Sutton and Rylie Sutton; sister, Mary Parris; brothers Dewey Sutton, Robert Sutton and Michael Sutton, 14 nephews and nieces, 32 great-nephews and nieces and 15 great-great-grand nephews and nieces.

A gathering in memory of Harry Sutton will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 1-4 p.m. This will be an open house at the residence of Harry and Carol Sutton.
